Picture Hanging

This is going to be a short blog but I thought this was an awesome idea. I might just be out of the loop but this is the first I have heard of this. Last week I finally printed out all of our wedding pictures and got frames for a couple of them. While we were trying to figure out where to hang everything Brent was looking at how to hang them. They are the annoying frames that have the two hooks. He ran downstairs and came back with wire. He tied the wire from one side to the other so that we would not have to measure the two spots to put nails and then have it be crooked after being ever so careful. It worked like a charm and we only had to put one hole in the wall per picture.

How to Naturally Clean a Rust Stained Seat!

My Dad has always been notorious for finding another mans junk and making it his treasure. I have picked up this trait but not as much as I would have liked to. This year I found us a perfectly good table and 4 chairs for our patio that were sitting out by the dumpster. They are perfect an in perfect condition.

Our most recent find was to the credit of my father. He found us a commercial size Charbroil grill sitting on the side of the road. He looked at it and called me saying that it just looked dirty. He spoke to the official owner of it and she said it wasn't working anymore so they purchased a new one. My husband is handy and so I called him and he decided to pick it up and see if he could fix it. He power washed it and spend $30 on a regulator and bam an awesome grill for next to nothing.

My Dad was so excited that he had found a good deal for us that he gave us his used propane tank so we wouldn't have to buy one. We had just been getting lucky left and right...and our luck was up. haha Without realizing the bottom was full of rust it was placed on my leather seat and this is what happened.

So, I used Shaklee's all natural Basic H, a little bit of elbow grease and it took it right out!

My New Kitchen!

My husband has owned "our" condo for 6 years now and he did a wonderful job redoing everything. HOWEVER, the one thing I hated was the color of the kitchen. It was a blue color that would have been fine but we have no natural light in our kitchen. Our kitchen is on an inside wall and we needed to brighten up our kitchen. It is my favorite place to be and now I love it even more!!!! Sorry about the mess but this is what it looked like before.

The Beginning of Our Life Together!

April 28th, 2012 was the day for which we had been waiting. It seemed like it would never get here and then out of nowhere it was our wedding day! We were so worried because despite the unusual warm weather in March this year, the forecast was calling for mid-40's and rain all day. Trying to think ahead I ran to Target the Thursday before and purchased 9 golf sized umbrellas that we ended up not needing at all...thank the Lord! Although, I think hat would have made for fun pictures. Everything turned out perfectly the whole day. We were truly blessed! My cousin who is a Catholic priest was able to make it and he was our celebrant. All of our family made it in and it went off without a single problem...at least not that I noticed. (Then again we were both so happy I don't think we would have noticed if something would have gone wrong!!!!)
These are my wonderful parents!
My adorable nephew Constantine took the spotlight, naturally! I still can't get over his cheeks!!!! :)

We were lucky enough to be able to get married in the church I grew up going to!

Officially married!!!!!

Our wedding party...

and last but not least our entire immediate family!

We were so blessed to have our entire family be able to make it. We are all over the country and it is very difficult for everyone to get together. It was the first wedding that everyone was able to make it to. It really was a magical day!
